About Us

Welcome to Garderie OrSheli and OlamSheli! We are known as one of the most LOVING daycares in Montreal! At our school we function as a family and are very proud of the warm and positive atmosphere that we have created.

Nina Hazzan is the Director and founder of Garderie OrSheli and OlamSheli. She first began running the daycare by filling the roles of educator, director, and cook! As her daycare grew, she established four separate classrooms, one for each age group. The daycare is currently run by Nina and a loving and dedicated Assistant Director, Tessa Benisty. Nina is a mother of three and has over 35 years of experience working with young children. She values each and every individual that enters her daycare and treats them as if they mean the world to her, because they do!

We are located in the Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue. Garderie OrSheli was created in 2007 in order to meet a strong local need for a daycare in Côte des Neiges. It is a for-profit corporation that is licensed by the Ministry of Family and Seniors. Garderie OrSheli accommodates children ages 1 to 3 and Garderie OlamSheli (a pre-Kindergarten program) accommodates children ages 4 and 5.

Our educational program is designed to promote the overall harmonious development of the child through play. Each activity integrates all dimensions of development: emotional, physical, verbal, social and moral, and cognitive. The pedagogical approach is based on the framework "Meeting Early Childhood" proposed by the Ministry of Family and Seniors program, as well as the basic principles of "Playing is Magical."
